October 2025 Officer of the Month

Congratulations to Officer Devin Cue for being selected as Officer of the Month for October 2025!

This marks his second time receiving this honor. His hard work, professionalism and dedication to the campus community are truly commendable. Since joining the Police Department in August 2023, Officer Cue has demonstrated tremendous growth as a law enforcement officer and has become an integral part of his squad. His supervisors note that he consistently reports for duty on time and ready to respond to calls for service. Officer Cue has earned a reputation for being dependable, disciplined and professional. He also readily provides support to junior peers. This has been especially evident during the department’s recent transition to a new reporting system. Demonstrating initiative, Officer Cue took the time to master the new software independently enabling him to assist fellow officers with its challenges and nuances.

Beyond supporting his peers, Officer Cue works diligently to serve the University community. He approaches each call for service with professionalism, patience and understanding. This was particularly evident last month when he assisted two students navigating the complex legal and procedural process of obtaining warrants at the Magistrate’s Office, one while assisting with monitoring and clearing a large campus event. Notably, he used both of these incidents as training opportunities for the newest member of his squad, allowing the officer trainee to experience his first arrest and learn the process of obtaining and serving a criminal summons.

Officer Cue’s attention to detail, professionalism, patience and maturity are exemplary. His dedication to both the public and his fellow officers makes him an invaluable asset to the department and the campus community. As part of his recognition, Officer Cue is eligible for the Officer of the Year Award.
